About the role
- Performs financial statement spreading and analysis
- Loan renewals and extensions
- Annual shelf reviews
- Collateral analysis
- Covenant testing and risk rating
- Loan coding validation with proper identification and evaluation of risks and mitigants
- Complies with established processes, quality standards and responsiveness expectations
- Validates risk ratings and requests changes if warranted
- Validates loan codes within loan packages to ensure accuracy
- Builds out loan request details within loan origination system in conjunction with commercial banking portfolio managers
- Participates in Pre-Flight discussions as deemed beneficial and memorializes takeaways
- Adheres to bank’s policies and procedures and complies with regulatory requirements
- Will perform special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Specialization in accounting, finance or economics preferred
- Analytically minded - ability to evaluate financial statements, interpret results and reach conclusions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and attentive to detail
- Proven ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment
- Proven ability to effectively communicate viewpoint and make independent decisions
- Ability to understand and apply bank’s credit policy
- Ability to understand and apply applicable banking laws, regulatory requirements and credit/risk management practices
- Proficient with the Microsoft suite of products, especially excel
- Some travel required; must have a valid driver's license for travel throughout Peoples Bank footprint of offices.
