About the role

  • Prepare annual budgets in partnership with the business and operations.
  • Maintain rolling monthly/quarterly forecasts; quantify budget gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead month‑end review with Accounting; investigate material variances across revenue and expense lines.
  • Compile findings and provide clear MTD/YTD commentary against budget and forecast for monthly financial packages.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of P&L, including review of corporate accounting entries.
  • Review client revenue detail for accuracy and completeness.
  • Track new sales against consultant targets and prepare variable compensation and commission calculations for internal consultants.
  • Ensure implementations (new business), terminations (lost business), and business‑at‑risk are accurately captured in the detailed client analysis files.
  • Reconcile significant differences between cash received and sales implementation amounts (expectations); escalate issues as needed.
  • Update and publish monthly Excel tables/dashboards (MTD/YTD results, terminations, new business).
  • Prepare month-end materials for monthly reviews with practice leaders.

Requirements

  • CPA designation with 5+ years of progressive experience in Finance/FP&A, preferably in services environments.
  • Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, large datasets, modeling); strong PowerPoint; exposure to BI tools (e.g., Power BI) an asset.
  • Strong analytical rigor with the ability to translate data into insights and action.
  • Excellent time management and commitment to deadlines in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
  • Adaptable, actively embraces and manages change; Proven ability to be successful in a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication; able to present to various levels of management.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and a bias for ownership and continuous improvement.
