About the role
- As a Support Specialist for Financial Operations and Accounting, you position yourself as a domain and platform expert.
- You are the primary point of contact for our customer base that has chosen Pennylane as the central software for their accounting and financial management.
- As a member of the Application and Technical Support team, you act as the central liaison between our clients' executives, their in-house accountants, and external accounting firms.
- You are in daily contact with users and work to understand the issues they encounter.
- After investigation, your goal is to provide an answer or solution to the user, or, when necessary, to escalate the issue to the technical teams.
- You are also responsible for helping company accountants and accounting firms import and set up their data in Pennylane to facilitate their migration.
- You will join the Pennylane Academy and receive continuous training on the product and team processes.
- You learn to identify all stakeholders and collaborate effectively within your team and with other departments.
- You begin handling accounting-related requests: you receive requests, qualify them based on a solid understanding of accounting principles, and provide fast, impactful responses.
- You gain autonomy and take full ownership of requests, ensuring proper follow-up until complete ticket resolution to guarantee user satisfaction.
Requirements
- Accounting qualification (e.g., BTS CGO, DCG, BTS SME Management Assistant, Master CCA, or Bachelor's in Administration and Accounting).
- At least 5 years of experience as an accountant within the finance function of an SMB and/or at least 3 years in an accounting firm (ideally having completed at least three fiscal periods).
- Direct experience working with business owners/executives is a plus (e.g., internal advisory).
- Interest in innovative work tools and new technologies.
- Autonomy and the ability to solve problems independently and find solutions.
- Familiarity with the Pennylane platform is a plus.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Strong written communication skills and a pedagogical approach to interact with users clearly and professionally.
- Ability to understand and respond to client needs, deliver excellent service, and maintain strong client relationships.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to the rapid evolution of the product.
- Willingness to learn and keep up to date with product developments.
