About the role
- As a Support Specialist — Financial Operations & Accounting, you act as a subject-matter and platform expert.
- You are the primary contact for our client base that has chosen Pennylane as their central accounting and financial management software.
- You are in daily contact with users and seek to understand the issues they encounter.
- After investigating, your goal is to provide an answer or solution to the user, or when necessary, escalate the issue to the technical teams.
- You are also responsible for helping company and firm accountants import their data into Pennylane to facilitate their migration.
- You join the Pennylane Academy and continuously train on the product and team processes.
- You learn to identify stakeholders and collaborate effectively within your team and with other departments.
- You begin handling accounting-related requests: you receive and qualify requests based on a solid understanding of accounting principles and provide fast, impactful responses.
- You gain autonomy and take full ownership of requests, ensuring proper follow-up until complete ticket resolution to guarantee user satisfaction.
Requirements
- Degree in accounting (e.g., BTS CGO, DCG, BTS SME Management Assistant, Master in Accounting, Control and Audit (CCA), or Bachelor's in Administrative and Accounting Management).
- At least 5 years' experience as an accountant within an SME/SMI finance department and/or at least 3 years in an accounting firm (ideally having completed at least three fiscal periods).
- Direct experience working with company leaders is a plus (e.g., internal advisory).
- Strong interest in innovative work tools and new technologies.
- Self-sufficient, with the ability to solve problems independently and find solutions.
- Knowledge of Pennylane is a plus.
- Professional-level English.
- Strong written communication and pedagogical skills to interact with users clearly and professionally.
- Ability to understand and address client needs, deliver excellent service and maintain strong client relationships.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Flexibility to adapt to rapid changes in the tool.
- Willingness to learn and stay up to date on product developments.
