About the role
- As a Financial Management & Accounting Support Specialist, you position yourself as a subject-matter and platform expert.
- You serve as the main point of contact for our client base that has chosen Pennylane as the core software for their accounting and financial management.
- You are therefore at the heart of a 360° customer experience, helping clients and their accountants get the most out of Pennylane to support their growth.
- As a member of the Application and Technical Support team, you act as the central liaison between our client executives, their in-house accountants and accounting firms.
- You communicate daily with users and seek to understand the issues they encounter.
- After investigation, your goal is to provide an answer or solution to your interlocutor, or when necessary, to escalate the issue to the technical teams.
- You are also responsible for helping company accountants and accounting firms import their data into Pennylane to facilitate their migration.
- During the first months, you will join the Pennylane Academy and receive ongoing product and team training.
- You gain autonomy and take full ownership by ensuring proper follow-up of requests until tickets are fully resolved to guarantee user satisfaction.
Requirements
- Degree in accounting (BTS CGO, DCG, BTS Assistant de Gestion PME-PMI, Master's CCA or Bachelor's in Administrative and Accounting Management).
- At least 5 years' experience as an accountant within the finance department of an SME and/or at least 3 years in an accounting firm (ideally having worked through at least three fiscal periods).
- Experience working directly with company leadership is a plus (e.g., internal advisory).
- Interest in innovative work tools and new technologies.
- Autonomy and the ability to solve problems independently and find solutions.
- Familiarity with the Pennylane platform is a plus.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly and pedagogically when interacting with users.
- Ability to understand and respond to client needs, provide excellent service and maintain good client relationships.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to the rapid evolution of the product.
- Willingness to learn and stay up to date with product developments.
