About the role

  • As a Support Specialist for Financial Management and Accounting, you act as both a domain and platform expert.
  • You are the primary point of contact for our clients who have chosen Pennylane as the central software for their accounting and financial management.
  • You communicate daily with users and work to understand the issues they encounter.
  • After investigation, your goal is to provide an answer or solution to the user or, when necessary, escalate the issue to the technical teams.
  • You are also responsible for helping company accountants and accounting firms import and integrate their data into Pennylane to facilitate migration.
  • Participation in the Pennylane Academy for product training and onboarding to the team’s processes.
  • Responding to accounting-related requests: receiving requests, qualifying them, and providing fast, impactful responses.
  • Gaining autonomy and taking full responsibility for tracking requests through to complete ticket resolution to ensure user satisfaction.
  • Creating and updating customer-facing help materials to improve client self-sufficiency.
  • Sharing your accounting knowledge and hands-on experience with colleagues.
  • Becoming a product expert and improving team efficiency by identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Accounting education (e.g., BTS CGO, DCG, BTS in SME/SMI Business Management, Master’s in CCA, or Bachelor in Administrative and Accounting Management).
  • At least 5 years’ experience as an accountant within the finance function of an SME/SMI and/or at least 3 years’ experience in an accounting firm (ideally with at least three fiscal periods completed).
  • Direct work with company leaders is a plus (e.g., in-house advisory work).
  • Interest in innovative work tools and new technologies.
  • Autonomy and the ability to solve problems independently and find solutions.
  • Familiarity with the Pennylane platform is a plus.
  • Professional level of English.
  • Strong written communication skills and a pedagogical approach to interact with users clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to understand and respond to client needs, deliver excellent service, and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the rapid evolution of the product.
  • Willingness to learn and stay up to date on product developments.
