About the role
- Are you looking for a stimulating professional environment built on autonomy and trust?
- As a freelance training consultant, your main goal will be to become an expert in the software in order to deliver the best possible training to new firms.
- You will train accounting firms to configure their client files, teach them accounting processing and review on Pennylane, and train them on client management features.
- Before the training: review the firm’s information, needs and specificities, contact the firm to introduce yourself and send training materials.
- During the training: lead a group (maximum 30 participants) by sharing your knowledge of the platform, understand learners’ requests and accurately restate their needs, and demonstrate adaptability and strong pedagogical skills.
- After the training: ensure learners have completed administrative tasks (attendance sheets, knowledge and satisfaction questionnaires), send a post-training email summarizing the materials covered and answering outstanding questions, and write a training report.
Requirements
- Experience in an Accounting Firm: Candidates must have substantial experience in an accounting firm, including accounting processing, review, and preparation of tax return packages (liasses fiscales), or at minimum be familiar with this environment.
- Availability and Geographic Mobility: The trainer must be available around 10 days per month for trainings and able to travel within a defined geographic area (approximately 2 hours from their home). They should be able to communicate their availability six months in advance and be willing to travel within specified time limits.
- Interpersonal and Teaching Skills: The candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and teaching skills, interacting empathetically and engagingly with learners to facilitate their involvement in the digital transformation.
- Digital Proficiency and Internal Tools: Agility in using Pennylane’s digital tools such as Slack, Notion, and Google Workspace for smooth integration into work processes.
- Quick Learning Ability: Ability to quickly learn training modules and adapt to changes in the training offerings.
- Presentation and Facilitation Techniques: Comfort with delivering presentations both in-person and online (requires a reliable internet connection).
- Commitment to Pennylane: Participation in administrative tasks and product monitoring to stay informed of platform updates, with an investment in Pennylane’s vision to build a community of partner trainers.
