About the role
- Serve as Assistant Director of Community Relations for the Parents And Children Together (PACT) initiative led by Penn State investigators
- Communicate and engage with the greater Harrisburg community by attending community outreach events and representing PACT on community boards
- Develop and sustain relationships and partnerships with community members and organizations; track partnership efforts
- Facilitate and regularly monitor research partnerships between PACT Investigators and community members and organizations
- Develop, revise, coordinate, and facilitate trainings for PACT outreach and communication; track and document training completion
- Manage and oversee the PACT shared space in Harrisburg, including creating workflow processes and policies and resolving space issues
- Maintain the PACT Recruitment Database and develop recruitment plans to assist PACT projects
- Coordinate PACT meetings, create meeting agendas, generate reports, and deliver presentations to stakeholders
- Manage and track PACT budgets related to outreach and Community Advisory Board (CAB) meetings; submit purchasing card paperwork
- Perform administrative tasks necessary for the successful functioning of PACT
- Work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends to accommodate participating families and outreach events
- On-site office work at the PACT shared space in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
- Ability to be detail-oriented and multi-task
- Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
- Required clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check
- Valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check (position requires operating a motor vehicle)
