About the role

  • Support the execution of the program’s digital media strategy to advance the Pembina Institute’s brand and strategic goals.
  • Create, edit and publish communications material to raise our brand profile and demonstrate our expertise in key policy areas.
  • Communicate with internal policy teams to develop digital campaigns, including coordinating and supporting social media and email content.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of webinars and engagement sessions.
  • Support the maintenance of public engagement databases and email lists.
  • Support strategic communications planning, including research into new media and participation in stakeholder and issues monitoring and event planning.

Requirements

  • You are a student enrolled in communications or a related field of study at an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution.
  • General knowledge of professional communications, copy-editing, online publishing, and multimedia acquired through education, volunteer or work experience.
  • Experience and comfortable in using and learning digital tools required for communications, stakeholder engagement and project management.
  • Experience and interest in media monitoring, web and digital analytics, and social media scheduling software.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented; can take initiative.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability and commitment to work hybrid, full-time (37.5 hours per week) from May 4 th to August 28 th , 2026.
