About the role
- The infrastructure administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of Pelmorex's IT Infrastructure to standardize, modernize, and automate infrastructure management, providing strategic coordination as well as tactical governance.
- The role involves designing solutions in line with the organization's strategic goals and technology roadmap, working collaboratively with other administrators and the technical leads.
- Quality assurance and documentation of the Pelmorex infrastructure architecture.
- Document and hand over systems and processes to the IT Operations team for support.
- Act as a 3rd level support escalation.
- Ensure that IT Infrastructure systems meet, and endeavor to exceed, the agreed Service Levels.
- Be proactive in looking for opportunities on how IT can improve its Service Delivery.
- Projects delivered on time, on budget, and to required quality (stakeholder expectations);
- Provide after-hours support when and if required.
- Other duties as reasonably required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as information technology, computer science, or management information systems 5+ Years of experience working in a 24/7 IT environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of direct experience with Docker, Kubernetes cluster design, implementation, and management on the following infrastructures (Cloudstack, Proxmox, as well as EKS, GKE, AKS)
- Excellent knowledge in cloud computing, GCP, AWS, Azure, Cloudstack, and Proxmox, AI (Machine learning)
- Excellent knowledge of managing Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Experience in Complex IT Environments (Network, Systems, and Storage)
- Excellent technical skills (Linux & Windows, Scripting, Terraform, automation)
- Excellent Problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with systems monitoring, log aggregation, and dashboard solutions (e.g., ELK, Splunk, Prometheus)
- Experience with DevOps tools and culture
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and attention to detail when communicating
- Able to manage multiple priorities and consistently produce results within timelines
- Able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with other members
- Proven track record of developing and providing Service Level Agreements and Service deliverables
