Social Media Manager

• Develop social media strategies and their execution for the francophone market, tailored to the specifics of each platform.
• Creatively and strategically expand MétéoMédia’s social media footprint by identifying emerging platforms, technologies, trends, and best practices.
• Work closely with The Weather Network’s social team to create innovative campaigns, promotions, and content concepts that elevate the MétéoMédia brand while considering the behavior and preferences of French-speaking audiences.
• Track KPIs using reporting tools (Simply Measured, Google Analytics) on a monthly basis and adjust the current strategy as needed.
• Analyze performance and deliver reports for various social media campaigns and initiatives.
• Provide ongoing feedback and training to MétéoMédia’s video and editorial teams to optimize social content offerings.
• Create, monitor, and optimize social advertising campaigns.
• Identify social media monetization opportunities.
• Support internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, partnerships) from start to finish on their social initiatives (brainstorming, proposals, campaign execution, reporting, and recommendations).
• Define and maintain MétéoMédia’s editorial voice on social media as an extension of the brand personality and content strategy.
• Personify MétéoMédia’s voice across social platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.
• Oversee the work of MétéoMédia’s external YouTube consultant to ensure content strategy alignment and that goals and objectives are met.
• Monitor MétéoMédia’s social platforms and engage with users.
• Provide French-language B2C customer support on social media platforms and the web inbox, following guidance from the Director of Communications and Administration.
• Support public personality accounts (CCP and weather presenters) associated with the MétéoMédia brand through mentoring and training.
• Support Pelmorex’s social media accounts by providing French- and Québec-focused content.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve service on social media platforms.
