About the role

  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of the monthly financial reporting, budgeting process, and forecasting process for specific functional areas.
  • Responsible for analysis of monthly activity and trends to support the operating business plans.
  • Review, research, and explain variances to budget and forecasts.
  • Provide ongoing support to designated functional teams and team members.
  • Responsible for preparation and analysis of monthly financial reporting summaries for management team.
  • Provide financial support for discounting, promotional, or other sales programs effectiveness.
  • Analyze sales trends and support sales and operations planning process.
  • Identify and research variances to plan and prior year on monthly operating expense reports statements.
  • Responsible for monthly cyclical activities to support the month end close such as journal entries, reconciliations, etc.
  • Lead in the preparation of expense budgets and forecasts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting and 3-5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including public speaking, training, and professional phone/email etiquette.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgment, and objectivity when operating under pressure or handling sensitive situations.
  • Ability to interpret, explain, and apply policies, procedures, and reports while making data-driven decisions.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills with attention to administrative detail and follow-through.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including compiling, reconciling, and analyzing large volumes of data; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint; experience with Oracle and Hyperion preferred.
