Manage on-site Pearson VUE test center operations and staff.
Perform on-time site opening and closing procedures and maintain a professional, clean testing center with light housekeeping.
Check in examinees, verify identification, explain the exam process, and monitor examinees while testing to maintain a secure testing environment.
Communicate with internal technical support to investigate and fix technical issues.
Adhere strictly to company policies and use careful judgment.
Serve as onsite manager for a small team: staffing, hiring, retention, conflict resolution, scheduling, training, development, and coaching of staff.
Act as first contact for facility issues and assist local sites as needed to address operational problems.
Requirements
At least 1-year customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
Strong communication, team leading, and training skills, with exposure to a testing environment preferred.
Must be flexible with work hours and days; availability any day Monday through Saturday between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM and about 2-3 Saturdays per month.
Ability to work 30 to 40 hours per week, with expectation to work more hours if needed.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Windows applications, Internet, and email.
Ability to operate a computer, fax, and telephone.
Must maintain focus in quiet environments and hear soft-spoken words.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally; able to stand for long periods and escort candidates frequently per shift; must be able to sit for extended periods; ability to bend, stoop, and lift from a stooped position.
Must see small details at a distance and clearly read names on ID cards and screens.
