About the role
- Build sophisticated data visualization interfaces and enterprise-grade dashboards for insurance customers
- Architect frontend systems that support 15+ concurrent enterprise implementations
- Shape the interface experience that influences underwriting decisions and product adoption
- Collaborate daily with founders, platform engineers, and product design leaders on strategy and design
- Create charts, maps, and analytics interfaces to surface structural engineering data
- Build customer-specific workflows, white-label interfaces, and API integration tools for embedding into insurance platforms
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate development velocity and deliver enterprise-quality interfaces
- Optimize frontend performance for large datasets with efficient rendering, state management, and caching
- Integrate with backend APIs (REST/GraphQL) and handle real-time streams via WebSockets
- Build backend APIs for AI-powered features and support enterprise deployments
- Respond to customer requests, prepare demos, and debug production issues affecting implementations
Requirements
- Ownership mentality and comfort with ambiguity
- 0-5 years of experience (sweet spot: 1-3 years); open to exceptional new grads
- Computer Science degree
- Proficiency with AI tools for automation, prototyping, and productivity (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Codex)
- Tech stack: React.js, TypeScript, Python, AWS/GCP, CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to optimize performance for large datasets and implement efficient rendering, state management, and caching
- Experience consuming REST/GraphQL APIs and handling real-time data streams (WebSockets)
- Willingness to be on-site in San Francisco 5 days/week and work long hours
- Startup intensity: comfortable with fast-paced, high-stakes environment
- Ability to respond to customer requests and demo preparation with same-day interface updates
- Experience debugging production issues affecting enterprise customer implementations
