About the role

  • Own the full federal revenue lifecycle: strategy, pipeline, capture, bookings, renewals/recompetes, and expansions.
  • Set federal growth strategy and priorities aligned to PeakMetrics’ product capabilities and delivery capacity.
  • Personally drive opportunity identification and qualification; establish a clear pursuit selection framework (prime vs. sub, vehicle fit, probability-to-win).
  • Build and maintain a disciplined federal operating rhythm (pipeline reviews, capture gates, forecast cadence, and executive reporting).
  • Lead capture execution for priority pursuits, including win themes, competitive positioning, teaming strategy, pricing inputs, and close plans.
  • Own and expand strategic partner and prime contractor relationships; negotiate teaming agreements, workshare, and partner commitments.
  • Serve as an executive-level representative for PeakMetrics in customer engagements, partner meetings, and federal industry forums.
  • Develop account strategies for existing federal customers to protect and grow revenue through option years, task orders, modifications, and follow-on awards.
  • Partner with Product and Insights to translate customer insights into product roadmap inputs and to ensure delivery readiness for pursuits.
  • Oversee proposal strategy and submission readiness, coordinating internal SMEs and external proposal support as needed to meet deadlines and compliance requirements.
  • Manage, coach, and develop the federal team; establish performance expectations, role clarity, and accountability for outcomes.
  • Drive accurate CRM usage and forecasting discipline; ensure leadership has clear visibility into deal health, risks, and next actions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience spanning federal business development, capture, mission support, or related leadership roles.
  • Proven record of building pipeline and winning federal business (prime and/or subcontract) through disciplined capture execution.
  • Experience engaging senior DoD/USG stakeholders and navigating complex acquisition environments.
  • Working knowledge of federal procurement pathways and vehicles (e.g., IDIQs, BPAs, OTAs, SBIR/STTR, subcontracting).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate mission needs into clear value propositions and win themes.
  • Comfort operating in a high-ownership, fast-moving startup environment with limited resources and high accountability.
