About the role
- Develop and implement robust compliance policies and procedures for the procurement department.
- Ensure strict adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct comprehensive audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks.
- Collaborate with senior management and internal stakeholders to address compliance concerns and provide strategic guidance on best practices.
- Stay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure continuous compliance.
- Lead training initiatives to educate procurement staff on compliance standards and procedures.
- Investigate and resolve complex compliance issues promptly and effectively.
- Prepare detailed reports on compliance activities for executive management review.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- A minimum of 15 years of extensive experience in the Purchasing and Supply field, with substantial experience in a senior supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrated expertise in procurement within critical infrastructure sectors such as Electricity, Transportation, and Telecommunications is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in compliance management, preferably within a procurement or supply chain environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to procurement.
- Exceptional analytical and strategic problem-solving skills.
- Superior communication and interpersonal abilities, with a capacity to influence and engage at all levels of the organization.
