About the role
- Your primary mission is to drive revenue, relentlessly hitting the phones to seek and seize opportunities, turning cold calls into warm connections, and exceeding sales targets.
- A significant aspect of your role is cold calling. Rejection doesn't deter you; instead, it fuels your determination. You understand that every "no" brings you closer to a "yes", and with each call, you aim to convert cold leads into profitable partnerships within the primary and secondary school market.
- Exceptional organisational skills are critical in managing your bustling sales pipeline, juggling an extensive list of leads and calls, and ensuring efficient time management. Your strategies are not just reactive but proactive, always planning for maximum future potential.
- Communication and interpersonal skills are your weapons. You're adept at building a solid rapport with clients and team members, maintaining a positive and goal-driven attitude despite the challenges.
- You will be adept at giving persuasive demonstrations and landing key messaging around product value to all stakeholders and decision makers in a prospect’s organisation.
- Your natural enthusiasm will shine when attending events that provide the opportunity to generate leads and engage directly with prospects.

Requirements
- Ability to speak confidently and articulately with senior leadership contacts in primary and secondary schools, including Head Teachers, Deputy Heads, and Literacy Leads, while showcasing a shared passion for learning outcomes.
- A versatile salesperson, resilient and able to deal with setbacks, manage inbound and outbound sales and maintain a strong pipeline in line with business forecasting model and expectations.
- Strong team player, willing to help others, collaborate effectively, and contribute innovative ideas to motivate staff, drive sales, and open new sales opportunities.
- Good technical ability, including a basic understanding of SaaS/Hosted solutions and general MS Office solutions (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams), and the ability to fully explain and demonstrate the product when necessary.
- Must have experience in using Hubspot as a CRM
- Leads by example in stature, target-driven, reasoning within the department, supportive of the management team, and self-motivated.
- Make a high volume of high-quality outbound telephone calls to new business prospects/existing customers (50 calls per day) to uncover their needs and sell Reading Cloud software.
