About the role
- Lead the design, development, and integration of LTE Advanced features and protocol stack optimizations for Open RAN vBBU.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the software access stack team.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including:
- FQG and RQG QA teams for feature verification, test case planning, and execution.
- PHY and Platform teams for seamless integration and performance tuning.
- PLM and System Architecture Group for aligning product requirements and architectural decisions.
- Review and contribute to design documents and requirements specifications.
- Write and maintain technical documentation, including algorithms and system behavior.
- Support customer deployments and provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution.
- Drive continuous improvement in development processes, tools, and methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in telecom software development, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
- Deep understanding of LTE/LTE-A protocol stack and Open RAN architecture.
- Experience with virtualization technologies and VRAN deployment models.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration and agile development environments.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
