About the role
- Design and implement innovative CLM solutions focused on AI-native interactions, progressive onboarding, and setup-free experiences that drive adoption and retention;
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, AI teams, Research, and Data to deliver high-impact outcomes across metadata extraction, repository, and intelligent automation features;
- Conduct extensive research and data analysis to understand SMB contract management behaviors, pain points, and barriers to adoption—translating insights into actionable design opportunities;
- Develop and iterate on designs and prototypes that effectively communicate AI-powered features, conversational interfaces, and proactive intelligence concepts;
- Work with product management to develop and test hypotheses around progressive disclosure, sane defaults, and opinionated suggestions using both quantitative and qualitative methods;
- Partner with Customer Advisory Board members and conduct rapid validation cycles to ensure we're achieving measurable adoption and engagement outcomes with each release;
- Advocate for best practices in design, usability, and accessibility, ensuring a consistent and user-centric approach across all CLM touchpoints while maintaining PandaDoc's consumer-grade quality bar.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product design, with demonstrated experience designing complex B2B SaaS workflows or document management systems
- Strong portfolio showcasing your design skills, thought process, business impact, and ability to simplify complexity—particularly around data-heavy or AI-powered features
- Capable of driving vision and change in emerging product areas with ambiguous requirements
- Skilled at designing setup-free and progressively disclosed experiences that reduce cognitive load and avoid the "blank canvas problem"
- Experience designing AI-native or conversational interfaces is highly valued
- Expertise in designing and prototyping in Figma, with strong interaction design and systems thinking skills
- Excellent English communication (minimum C1) and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across time zones
- A growth mindset with relentless focus on user needs, business outcomes, and commitment to continuous improvement through rapid iteration and validation.
