About the role
- Provide clinical leadership in conjunction with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)/Director of Nursing (DON)
- Responsible for nursing administrative decisions in the absence of the CNO/DON
- Focus on nursing staffing, performance evaluation, and clinical and administrative decision-making related to nursing care
- Continuous improvement of nursing and rehabilitation care
- Responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and maintaining quality nursing care
Requirements
- RN License in the state you are applying
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification preferred initially and required after 90 days of employment
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
- Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments preferred but not required
- Higher comfort level working with vents/trachs/PICC lines preferred but not required
- 2 years of experience in direct patient care preferred but not required
