About the role

  • Advise clients on scientific and technical aspects of R&D projects, with a particular focus on funding applications and tax relief for innovation
  • Analyze and evaluate research projects, data and experiments to provide evidence-based recommendations
  • Prepare reports, risk assessments and regulatory analyses for sectors such as mechanical engineering, energy and manufacturing
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop strategies for product development and innovation
  • Support the preparation of funding applications (e.g., EU programmes, national grants) by providing scientific justification
  • Conduct market analyses and monitor trends in scientific fields to keep clients informed of developments
  • Present findings to clients and stakeholders, including delivering training sessions and workshops

Requirements

  • Completed degree in a natural science (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering) or equivalent; PhD or relevant professional experience is a plus
  • Minimum 3–5 years of practical experience in scientific consulting, research or a related field (e.g., industry, consulting firms or research institutions)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and scientific methodologies
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, EU funding programmes) and grant management is desirable
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly
  • Fluent German and English; additional languages are a plus
