About the role

  • Collaborate with facility-level Directors of Nursing (DONs) and clinical teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Monitor compliance with state, federal, and company clinical standards and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support in clinical decision-making, problem-solving, and best practices to enhance resident outcomes.
  • Participate in QAPI processes by analyzing clinical metrics, identifying trends, and recommending targeted interventions to improve resident care quality and safety.
  • Assist in developing and implementing evidence-based policies, procedures, and protocols to drive continuous improvement in clinical outcomes.
  • Regularly assess facilities for compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and assist in preparing for state and federal surveys.
  • Provide education and training to facility staff on policy updates, regulatory changes, and survey expectations.
  • Mentor and train clinical leadership teams at assigned facilities, focusing on professional growth, leadership skills, and clinical competencies.
  • Foster a collaborative culture that encourages communication, teamwork, and consistent adherence to best practices.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts of nursing and clinical staff, ensuring a stable and competent workforce.
  • Travel regularly within the Central Valley Region, with a primary focus on 5-6 northern facilities, to provide on-site support and guidance.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in good standing in California.
  • BSN or MSN preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive clinical leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings, including multi-site oversight.
  • Deep understanding of long-term care regulations, survey processes, and best practices in geriatric nursing and rehabilitation.
  • Proven track record of driving quality improvement initiatives and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional communication, coaching, and leadership skills to influence staff at multiple levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on resident-centered outcomes.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the region (valid driver’s license and reliable transportation).
  • Residence in or willingness to relocate to Fresno or Tulare County.
