About the role
- Conduct advanced analysis of program data, performance metrics, unit costs, capital/expense spend, and operational trends.
- Interpret and manipulate large datasets to derive insights supporting program decisions and leadership reporting.
- Develop accurate forecasts for spend, work volume, order creation, invoices and resource requirements.
- Perform variance analysis; identify cost drivers and operational bottlenecks; recommend mitigation strategies.
- Assist in development and maintaining standardized recurring dashboards and ad-hoc analytical reports for leadership.
- Prepare executive-level presentations on program performance, trends, risks, and recommendations.
- Support divisions with development of operational metrics and reporting frameworks.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, program policies, and internal controls.
- Support development of new processes, tools, training materials, and documentation.
- Track and analyze capital and expense spending.
- Maintain and improve financial models for forecasting, productivity target-setting, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure cost accuracy, monitor drivers, and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide forecast recommendations and prepare variance narratives.
- Support development of responses to program-related data requests.
- Conduct research and compile exhibits or supporting materials for Gas Rate Cases (GRC).
- Provide analytical support to witnesses and SMEs.
- Facilitate cross-functional working groups to ensure alignment on program data, reporting, and workflow improvements.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels.
- Provide guidance or informal leadership to peers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5 years’ total related experience
- SAP experience
- Project or program management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience (Desired)
- PMP Certification (Desired)
- Advance skills in Microsoft Excel. Capable of using complex formulas, pivot tables, macros, and data visualization tools. (Desired)
- Expertise in Power BI. Skilled in building interactive dashboards, reports, and leveraging DAX for data analysis. (Desired)
- Proficiency in Power Query. Experience Transforming, cleaning and automating data workflows from multiple sources. (Desired)
- Strong understanding of data modeling. Able to design and optimize data models for efficient reporting and analytics. (Desired)
- Experience in Gas utility maintenance and construction. (Desired)
- Team leadership and collaboration skills. (Desired)
- Basic negotiation skills and ability to influence. (Desired)
- Knowledge of project management, process improvement best practices, concepts, methods and techniques. (Desired)
