About the role

  • Oversees Vegetation Management operations
  • Ensures electric system safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance
  • Serves as a subject-matter expert on regulatory issues and program strategies
  • Leads team within a specific geographic area of operations
  • Works with customers and public entities to monitor and manage vegetation proximity to PG&E assets
  • Communicates complex ideas to diverse audiences
  • Develops budget forecasts and business cases

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of job-related experience
  • May be required to work extended hours during special projects.
  • ISA Arborist/Utility Specialist certification (desired)
  • ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) (desired)
  • Expert knowledge of forestry and/or utility vegetation management concepts, methods, and techniques (desired)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (desired)
  • Excellent negotiation and collaboration skills, diplomacy, and tact (desired)
  • Excellent organizational, time management, prioritization, and planning skills (desired)
  • Ability to lead or manage teams (desired)
  • Excellent project and program management skills (desired)
  • Ability to communicate findings and recommendations to various levels of management (desired)
  • Adaptable to changing and evolving business processes (desired)
  • Knowledge of current utility and energy industry issues, trends, and political, economic, and social issues affecting the program (desired)
  • Ability to work within an environment heavily dependent on laws and regulations, and knowledge of how to interpret and apply them (desired)
  • Knowledge and understanding of business drivers (desired)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.) and GIS applications (desired).
