About the role
- Responsible for the safe reliable operation and maintenance of the Helms Pumped Storage Plant
- Oversees the operation and maintenance of PG&E’s most valuable hydroelectric generation asset
- Communicates clear operational priorities for the onsite and ancillary support teams
- Takes a leadership role in establishing the culture of area managed, with an emphasis on employee and public safety
- Utilizes and improves the work management system and other tools to support management of area assets and resources
- Provides direct supervision, staffing, training, coaching and mentoring to the Power Generation O&M first line supervisors and Maintenance Planners.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED, or equivalent experience
- Valid CA driver’s license (or out-of-state license if job applicant)
- Eight years electric utility or electric generation facility experience, with at least 5 years of supervisory experience
- Travel at least 30% of the time with occasional overnight stays.
- Commitment to live at the site in the Company facilities Monday-Thursday.
- Presence on-site outside of the regular work week may be required due to outages or other extenuating circumstances.
