About the role
- Manages and/or administers a company program
- Provides oversight, governance, communication, training, and reporting
- Manages the program budget
- Works autonomously and develops innovative solutions
- Partners with Government Relations in developing messaging and strategy
- Leads development of overall strategy to achieve program goals
- Develops content and format for reports and dashboards
- Prepares and presents regular updates to senior management
- Regularly monitors costs vs. budget
- Develops business case for budget and/or additional funding
- Ensures effective work scheduling and resources are available
- Develops creative solutions to address resource issues
- Supports regulatory compliance with the program
- Manages the process of awarding some program work to outside contractors
- Manages RFP process.
- Coaches and mentors less experienced employees.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- Job-related experience: 10 years
- Experience in maintenance and construction
- electric PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
- In depth knowledge of electric utility processes, regulatory requirements, critical success factors, goals and initiatives
- Highly skilled at leading project teams
- Advanced financial management & budgeting skills and business acumen
- Expertise in communication, interpersonal/collaboration influence and negotiation and process management
- Analytical and creative problem solving, strategic decision making ability
- Broad knowledge of project management, process improvement best practices, concepts, methods and techniques
- High level organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools
- Advanced presentation skills to effectively convey complex issues to internal and external parties of various levels.
