About the role
- Responsible for managing the implementation of quality programs, policies, and procedures
- Provides advisement to management staff in quality related matters
- Manages staff including hiring, training, development and engagement
- Implements and manages quality processes, results, audits, and improvement programs
- Provides input and advice regarding development of the policies and procedures for the function
- Resolves escalated, technical or sensitive quality problems or conflicts
- Manages the group or area budget
- Oversees or participates in special projects
- Maintains currency of quality regulations, industry trends, current practices
- Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's service
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field
- three (3) years of experience in quality
- three (3) years of supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
