About the role

  • Lead Market Engagement & Business Development in Africa.
  • Identify, nurture, and secure new funded partnerships with public health stakeholders, donors, and industry partners.
  • Expand and strengthen existing partnerships to maximise impact.
  • Develop and execute strategies to position our solutions effectively in African markets.
  • Support Global Market Access & BD.
  • Contribute to global market access strategies, including APAC, ensuring alignment across regions.
  • Engage with governments, regulators, and multilateral organisations to enable product adoption and scale.
  • Advise on regulatory and government affairs in key markets to accelerate access.
  • Build and maintain strong networks across the African public health ecosystem, particularly malaria-focused organisations.
  • Represent the organisation in high-level engagements with WHO and other multinationals to advance product recommendations.
  • Support CEO and senior leadership in strategic initiatives, stakeholder management, and global communications.
  • Develop compelling proposals, pitches, and partnership frameworks to attract funding and collaboration.
  • Drive ideation and research to identify new lines of business and innovative opportunities.
  • Represent the organisation in selected public fora, conferences, and media engagements.
  • Champion initiatives to convene innovators and build collaborative ecosystems.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure strong execution of market access plans.
  • Provide regular progress reporting and contribute to internal strategy discussions.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g. public health, business administration, life sciences).
  • Extensive experience in public health market access and BD, with a strong track record of partnership-building and fundraising.
  • Deep existing network across African public health stakeholders, particularly malaria-relevant organisations.
  • Proven ability to engage governments, multilateral agencies and industry partners.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing diverse teams across multiple geographies.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Proficiency in one or more African languages (desirable).
  • Experience working with regulatory pathways (desirable).
