Our Competition team offers the opportunity to work on high-impact antitrust cases and mergers, providing economic analysis to clients across various sectors.
You will collaborate closely with legal teams to assess competition risks, gather data and develop strategies that address antitrust concerns, shape case outcomes and quantify damages.
Involved in all stages of litigation and merger investigations, you'll contribute to expert evidence, submissions to competition authorities and remedy design.
This will involve leveraging econometrics, industrial organisation and other economic theories to support clients in navigating complex competition issues.
Collaborate with colleagues and clients to resolve complex economics issues.
Conduct empirical and quantitative analysis in Excel, Stata, R and/or Python.
Write reports, presentations and articles, independently or in conjunction with others.
Requirements
An excellent academic record with a postgraduate degree, covering microeconomics, econometrics and game theory.
Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical and communication skills.
Fluency in spoken and written English.
An additional European language is desirable, and is a requirement for those based in offices other than Brussels, London or Oxford.
Previous experience of producing insights and providing recommendations within a client-facing context (advantageous).
A collaborative team player approach.
Knowledge of programming languages such as Stata and/or R (desirable).
