About the role
- Discover, evaluate, and implement new technology for all Owlet Baby Care Android and iOS mobile applications.
- Manage and mentor Android and iOS engineering direct reports to promptly deliver quality software applications for products using IoT devices.
- Review and manage software coding and architecture by Android and iOS engineers.
- Assess performance metrics for members of Android and iOS engineering teams.
- As needed, write advanced code for complex applications.
- Oversee proper use of test-driven software development, continuous build, and integration methodologies.
- Provide consistent, actionable, and transparent feedback during regular one-on-one meetings with all Mobile engineering team members.
- Provide Mobile engineers with support and guidance in accomplishing their career goal.
- May telecommute from any place in the United States
- Supervises one Staff iOS Engineer (15-1252.00)
Requirements
- Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- Experience: Three years of experience in the job offered or in a position involving software development or a related field
- Skills: Kotlin, Java, Coroutines and Concurrency Management, dependency Injection, Bitrise, Bluetooth & Wi-Fi Communication.
- Alternative Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- Experience: Five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a position involving software development or a related field
- Skills: Kotlin, Java, Coroutines and Concurrency Management, dependency Injection, Bitrise, Bluetooth & Wi-Fi Communication.
