Responsible for all aspects of sales and service to Roofing Distribution Channel as well as Roofing Contractors in the territory.
Execute Owens Corning’s Roofing growth strategy and foster current customer growth while identifying and pursuing profitable new business.
Work closely with Roofing National Account Managers, Regional Sales Leaders, Roofing Components ASMs, Technical Sales Representatives and ASMs.
Build intimate insight and knowledge of the market and customers within the territory, including customer business needs and market trends.
Develop down-channel territory strategy including environmental analysis, competitor intelligence, customer needs, risk analysis and mitigation plans.
Execute on customer strategy, conduct meaningful customer discovery interviews, and deliver measurable differential value from products, programs and processes.
Develop and implement customer operating plans with a 3-year vision and ensure customers meet their financial goals.
Manage margin through strategic pricing, cost management, and effective negotiation using CRM and reporting tools.
Recommend resourcing and funding decisions to maximize value for Owens Corning and identify process changes to eliminate waste and increase profitability.
Establish strong high, wide and deep customer relationships and communicate full product/service value.
Ensure a safe, clean, and environmentally compliant work environment and promote a culture of safety.
Work with regional ASM to develop lists and engage key contractors and builders; develop value propositions and conduct training/learning sessions for contractors and builders.
Requirements
Experience in the building materials industry working with builders and contractors.
Solid understanding of the builder and contractors’ business.
Demonstrated ability to develop a sale from cold call through close.
