About the role

  • Team management & oversight
  • Preparation, conduct and documentation of weekly and monthly one-on-one meetings.
  • Management of client account handovers.
  • Monitoring workload and stress levels of Operations Managers.
  • Tracking Operations Managers' performance and managing underperformance situations.
  • Monitoring and reporting service quality KPIs.
  • Handling disputed or problematic transports.
  • Random checks to ensure compliance with internal processes.
  • Responding to technical inquiries and requests from Operations Managers and sales teams.
  • Implementing RETEX (feedback and lessons learned).
  • Writing and revising operational procedures.
  • Contributing to the development of the operational strategy in line with OVRSEA's overall strategy.
  • Collaborating with other team managers to carry out cross-functional projects involving Operations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Operations experience in a freight forwarder/transport commissionaire with management experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills both within and outside the team, leadership and the ability to align the whole team with OVRSEA's overall strategy.
  • Active listening, empathy and diplomacy.
  • Rigour, reliability and project management skills.
  • Analytical skills and comfort creating and using data dashboards. Ability to conduct performance monitoring analyses.
  • Proactivity, entrepreneurial spirit and drive to successfully lead ambitious projects and set an example for the team.
