- Own defined market segments, customers or application spaces (e.g., infrastructure, energy, mobility, defense) and serves as the internal market expert for assigned growth areas.
- Accountable for segment and customer-level plans that define customer strategy, value drivers, technical requirements, and competitive dynamics to drive targeted, value-based growth.
- Accountable for driving opportunities from idea through qualification, business case development, and contract execution by aligning cross-functional stakeholders through defined stage gates.
- Responsible for value-based growth by developing pricing strategies, ROI models, and margin improvement cases while ensuring opportunities meet profitability and risk thresholds.
- Regular reporting and engagement with the Director of Business Development and other internal stakeholders on opportunities and strategic priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field.
- MBA is preferred.
- 5 years minimum in business development, technical sales, or commercial strategy in stainless steel, specialty metals, or industrial manufacturing.
- Experience owning account plans and engaging customers at technical, operational, and executive levels to align solutions with customer strategy.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience with pricing strategies, margin management, and ROI analysis.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and collaborating effectively with technical, new product development, operations, finance, and supply chain teams.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and data-driven decision-making.
