About the role

  • Development and implementation of a future-oriented maintenance strategy for production equipment and associated infrastructure
  • Planning and management of preventive and corrective maintenance activities, overhauls, shutdowns and major repairs to reduce unplanned downtime
  • Planning, management and optimization of the maintenance budget
  • Monitoring relevant KPIs (e.g., OEE, MTBF, MTTR) and analyzing faults to derive sustainable improvements
  • Technical and disciplinary leadership of engineers, technicians and skilled workers
  • Technical assessment of equipment, spare parts and investment proposals
  • Responsibility for occupational safety, environmental protection and fire safety
  • Ensuring compliance with legal requirements, standards and internal policies, including risk analyses and training
  • Introduction of modern technologies for condition monitoring and data-driven preventive maintenance

Requirements

  • Completed technical degree (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Process Engineering) or equivalent qualification
  • Several years of leadership and hands-on experience, ideally with large-scale plants or in heavy industry
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance and modern maintenance strategies (TPM, Lean, Reliability Engineering)
  • Confident use of maintenance software (e.g., SAP PM) and strong KPI/process understanding
  • Knowledge of relevant standards as well as occupational, environmental and safety regulations
  • Leadership skills, assertiveness, team orientation, and a structured, analytical working style
  • Good command of English
