Research Scientist

• Conduct research on training and evaluating new Large language models (LLMs), Vision Language Models (VLMs), and other AI models.
• Develop methodologies for curating high-quality datasets for training and evaluating LLMs.
• Develop evaluation benchmarks to measure the performance of LLMs across various tasks and domains.
• Design and conduct experiments to validate research hypotheses and improve model performance.
• Contribute to the Oumi open-source platform, models and projects, and other relevant tools and libraries.
• Collaborate with other researchers, engineers, and the broader community to advance the field of open-source AI.
• Publish research findings in leading conferences and journals.
• Evaluate existing models and identify areas of improvement.
• Work with various models, including text and multimodal models, and both open and closed models.
• Focus on the research that matters by skipping the plumbing and moving straight to research, building on the work of others and contributing back.

Machine Learning Engineer

• Partner with customers through the pre-sales and post-sales lifecycle - from technical demos and proof-of-concept design to hands-on training and deploying models.
• Train, fine-tune, and evaluate modern LLMs and other AI models using Oumi’s platform.
• Work with customers to design scalable ML workflows using best practices in data preparation, training, and deployment.
• Help customers understand Oumi’s capabilities, providing technical insight and translating research innovations into practical solutions.
• Work closely with the product and research teams to surface customer needs and help shape the future of Oumi’s platform.
• Develop technical guides, demos, and best practices to help customers and the open community succeed with Oumi.

Pre/Post-Sales Machine Learning Engineer

• Lead research initiatives on LLM/VLM development, focusing on training, evaluation, data curation, benchmarking, and optimization techniques.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for advancing AI/ML capabilities within Oumi's open-source platform.
• Publish high-impact research in top-tier conferences and journals (e.g. NeurIPS, ICML, ACL, ICLR, …), contributing significant advancements to open AI.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with academic institutions, research labs, and individual scholars to create a robust network of open science contributors.
• Mentor junior researchers and engineers on best practices, sharing expertise to foster growth and development within the team.

AI Engineer

• Role Overview: We’re looking for our first Product Manager to own the Enterprise Platform roadmap. This is an extremely high impact role. You’ll be in the weeds with users, working side-by-side with engineers, and in front of the whiteboard figuring out strategy – and sometimes all in the same afternoon.
