About the role
- Assessment of the current state of global patient care manufacturing (available production resources, tools, processes, etc.)
- Identification of the best processes, tools and cost advantages for each production step/product type
- Differentiation of processes, products and solutions to be moved to a centralized manufacturing site
- Development of a centralized manufacturing strategy or site planning (short-, mid- and long-term)
- Establishment and expansion of an integrated production and process chain — including required systems/tools such as ordering and communication platforms
- Transfer of local, heterogeneous production processes into an integrated central production process chain
- Technical leadership of local units on all topics related to production processes and tools (harmonization/standardization of remaining local processes and tools to a global standard according to the cfab strategy)
- Collaboration with international development teams to ensure smooth production launches of new products
Requirements
- Completed university degree with a Master’s qualification
- At least 8 years of experience in managing a production facility for medical devices
- Extensive experience in building and operating a centralized production structure
- Solid knowledge of production processes and tools for batch-size-one (lot size 1) products
- Strategic and forward-thinking mindset; persuasive and assertive skills
- Strong numerical affinity and a good sense for key performance metrics
- Very good written and spoken German and English
