About the role
- Support the execution of the global patient advocacy strategy, road map, and key initiatives.
- Manage operational implementation of advocacy programs, including roundtables, convenings, publications and other strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate across functions to ensure alignment with enterprise priorities.
- Support development of annual advocacy plans, objectives, timelines and deliverables.
- Track and monitor advocacy initiatives to ensure timely and effective execution.
- Serve as an operational point of contact for advocacy organizations supporting relationship development and ongoing engagement.
- Help maintain regular communication with advocacy partners to support collaboration and shared initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to support advocacy organizations through strategic engagement, capability building and bidirectional collaboration.
- Support identification, onboarding, and management of new advocacy partnerships.
- Help support the programs and tactics behind the enterprise-wide advocacy capability.
- Support development of internal processes, tools and frameworks for advocacy engagement.
- Coordinate internal advocacy community of practice and support cross functional working groups.
- Ensure internal teams have access to patient insights and advocacy perspectives.
- Support integration of patient voice into R&D, Medical Affairs, Policy, and Commercial initiatives.
- Support development of advocacy-related materials including white papers, position papers, briefing documents, and presentations.
- Contribute to development of advocacy communications and storytelling that elevate patient voice.
- Support management of advocacy budgets, contracts and operational processes.
- Support preparation of internal reports dashboards and leadership updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Advanced degree such as MPH, MPP, MBA or related field preferred
- Five years of experience in patient advocacy, health care, public health, nonprofit leadership or related health care field
- Experience specifically in Women’s Health is strongly preferred
- Patient-centered mindset.
- Execution and project management: strong organizational and project management skills, ability to manage multiple initiatives, detail oriented with strong operational discipline.
- Relationship management: ability to build trust with advocacy partners and internal stakeholders.
- Communication: excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to help prepare executive level materials, when needed.
- Collaboration and influence: ability to work cross functionally across diverse teams, ability to operate in complex organizational environments.
