About the role

  • Manage grant agreement contracts for Oregon Broadband Office financial assistance
  • Make visits to broadband project sites and meet with recipients
  • Work with recipients to resolve problems
  • Oversee complex, high value project disbursements
  • Compile closeout reports submitted by recipients for compliance with programmatic funding requirements
  • Provide on-going technical assistance such as mapping of unserved and underserved areas
  • Work directly with the BEAD Program Coordinator consultants, and subrecipients

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills
  • Four years experience coordinating or administering a program OR Any combination of experience or education equivalent to seven years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing federally funded grant agreements for eligible and pass-through entities or subrecipients
  • Telecommunications or infrastructure grant agreement experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience monitoring compliance with technical aspects of complex grant agreements
  • Certification or demonstrated experience using federal grant management principles
  • Certification or demonstrated experience using Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including local/state/federal government, state and local elected officials, businesses, and non-governmental organizations
