About the role
- perform system analysis, gather business and technical requirements, and develop specifications for new systems or enhancements of existing systems.
- provide technical training and user support for agency software applications and assists other IT staff as needed.
- gather, document, and analyze user, business, and functional software requirements, and assess technology solutions and recommends options.
- analyze user needs and system requirements through discussion with individual users or small groups of users.
- develop detailed feature requirements from the high-level business requirements.
- develop detailed specifications for software that will fulfill the defined requirements.
- conduct design walkthroughs with peers, supervisors, and users to obtain agreement on the proposed design solution.
- identify corrupt or problematic data issues for mission critical systems and evaluate and execute actions to resolve errors as needed.
- collaborate with other IT staff or consultants in requirement analysis, quality assurance, user acceptance testing and deployment.
Requirements
- Five (5) years of information systems experience.
- An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR Completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field; AND three (3) years of information systems experience.
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND one (1) year of information systems experience.
