About the role
- Lead and Manage IT Projects: Direct complex, multi‑stakeholder technology projects across all phases—initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and close‑out.
- Develop and Maintain Project Plans: Create project charters, schedules, budgets, communication plans, risk registers, and change control processes.
- Coordinate Cross‑Functional Teams: Work closely with Business Analysts, technical experts, program staff, and vendor staff to align work and resolve issues.
- Monitor Scope, Risks, and Quality: Track progress, identify risks early, and ensure delivery of high‑quality project outcomes that meet business and technical requirements.
- Vendor & Contract Management: Oversee vendor activities, review deliverables, and ensure compliance with statements of work.
- Facilitate Meetings and Communication: Lead project meetings, brief stakeholders, maintain documentation, and ensure transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support Testing, Training, and Implementation: Coordinate UAT planning with Business Analysts, support readiness activities, and ensure successful adoption of new technology solutions.
- Ensure Standards & Compliance: Apply DOJ policies, SDLC practices, and project management methodologies to deliver secure, compliant solutions.
Requirements
- Six (6) years of experience in information services project or program management.
- Education will be counted as experience if degree is in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or if a two (2) year accredited vocational training program was completed in information technology or related field.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CAPM, PMI‑PBA, Prosci, Agile certifications, etc.
- Familiarity with system integration, vendor management, and structured project governance.
- Knowledge of or experience managing Organizational Change Management principles and activities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Planner, Azure Boards/DevOps, or other project management tools.
