About the role
- Monitor available allotment to ensure sufficient expenditure authority is available each quarter
- Prepare draft - quarterly allotment plans which are reviewed and approved by the Senior Budget Analyst.
- Assist in updating cost allocation - spreadsheets.
- Prepare monthly budget - status reports for small programs or divisions.
- Assist with preparing the agency’s budget documents for Agency Request, Governor’s Budget, and Legislatively Adopted Budget processes
- Send out inquiries about essential materials
- Prepare and update bi-monthly personal services projections for review by Senior Budget Analyst.
- Generate Workday - personnel related reports as needed
- Prepare financial reports - as requested by management
Requirements
- Five years of progressively responsible experience that included the preparation, analysis, and administration of a budget or fiscal system.
- OR, Five years of professional-level experience in accounting, fiscal auditing, management or program analysis.
- Experience must have included modeling, forecasting and analyzing fiscal information.
- OR, Successful completion of the Department of Administrative Services Budget and Management Public Administrative Trainee Program.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Public or Non-Profit Management, Finance, Accounting or a related degree may substitute for three years of the required experience.
- A graduate-level degree in any of the above areas may substitute for four of the five years.
