About the role
- The primary focus area of this position is the management of the Orthopedics Clinical Research Core (OCRC).
- This includes direct oversight of Core team members and indirect leadership to other clinical research professionals throughout the Department.
- Collaborate with Department research leadership to improve efficiency of clinical research management including study launch processes and ongoing operations.
- Serve as a central point of contact for Principal Investigators who utilize the OCRC.
- Managing regulatory submissions, ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
- Serving as Department liaison with study sponsors and campus regulatory bodies.
- Completing other required activities and documentation pertaining to sponsored clinical studies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any field
- A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
- Four (4) years clinical research or related experience
- ACRP or SOCRA Certification (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, physiology, kinesiology, engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience managing research teams and developing and implementing a variety of operational systems and training programs (preferred)
- Five (5) years clinical research or related experience (preferred)
- Prior experience providing program and/or project management duties in a clinical research setting (preferred)
- Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g. EMR or EHR and data management systems) (preferred)
- Experience with navigation of external audits (preferred)
- Experience with navigating CU Medicine/UCHealth research process, systems, and clinics (preferred)
- Supervisory experience of multiple team members (preferred)
