About the role
- Identification, screening and in-depth analysis of distressed and special situations credit investments
- Development of robust cash flow, downside and recovery analyses
- Building and maintaining detailed financial and restructuring models
- Preparation of investment memoranda and internal decision materials
- Coordination and execution of financial, legal and commercial due diligence
- Active involvement in transaction structuring and negotiations (documentation, security, covenants)
- Ongoing monitoring and management of portfolio situations, including restructurings and enforcement scenarios
- Direct interaction with company management, insolvency administrators, lenders and external advisors
Requirements
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in distressed or special situations investing, credit opportunities, leveraged finance, restructuring, investment banking or private equity
- Proven capability in credit analysis and transaction execution
- Strong understanding of capital structures, credit documentation and restructuring processes
- Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills
- Highly independent, structured and detail-oriented working style
- Strong communication skills and ability to operate in complex stakeholder environments
- Fluency in English required; additional European languages are a plus
