Software Engineer

• Own Optery’s release calendar and cadence across frontend, backend, and mobile, and ensure it is kept in sync with sprint plans and business priorities.
• Participate in sprint planning and backlog grooming to confirm work is properly ticketed, scoped, and sequenced for release
• Coordinate and manage release readiness: confirm all testing is complete, environments are available, dependencies are resolved, and rollback/mitigation steps are defined.
• QA and Testing: perform detailed QA and testing of new releases, provide feedback and resolve issues.
• Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for release execution, bridging engineering, product, marketing, customer-facing, and business teams so all parties know what is shipping and when.
• Document and distribute release notes and change communications for internal audiences; ensure customer-facing teams have what they need for external communication.
• Track and surface release risks, blockers, and post-release issues; support troubleshooting with engineering and QA as needed.
• Propose and implement incremental improvements to the release process (checklists, templates, metrics) to increase predictability and reduce manual work.
