About the role
- Responsible for smashing targets, and building relationships in the industry
- Work with the entire Growth team to set priorities and strategic direction for new business
- Actively prospect and engage new brands using a variety of channels including cold calling; email; LinkedIn; networking events
- Conduct discovery Calls/demos with all outbound and inbound leads
- Be a champion for our users and advocate for them, partnering with Marketing and Product teams to continuously improve the product
- Collect and record feedback throughout the sales process, suggesting changes where you identify areas for improvement
- Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities and competitors
- Attend industry events to network, build contacts, and represent Opply in the best light
Requirements
- ~2 years experience in Sales or Business Development ideally in a B2B role
- Have consistently exceeded sales targets, and motivated by the close
- Natural flair with customers and ongoing over performance of targets
- Experience or interest in the food/consumer goods industry with brands and suppliers preferred
