About the role
- Smash targets and build relationships in the industry
- Work with the entire Growth team to set priorities and strategic direction for new business
- Actively prospect and engage new brands using channels including cold calling, email, LinkedIn and networking events
- Conduct discovery calls/demos with outbound and inbound leads
- Champion users and partner with Marketing and Product to continuously improve the product
- Collect and record feedback throughout the sales process and suggest improvements
- Act as Opply spokesperson and exceed growth targets in line with business objectives
- Identify product improvements or new products by staying current on industry trends, market activities and competitors
- Attend industry events to network, build contacts and represent Opply
Requirements
- ~2 years experience in Sales or Business Development ideally in a B2B role
- Have consistently exceeded sales targets, and motivated by the close
- Natural flair with customers, and ongoing over performance of targets
- Experience or interest in the food/consumer goods industry with brands and suppliers preferred
- Strong ownership mindset; determined, scrappy, creative problem-solver; empathetic team player
