About the role

  • Responsible for operating and managing large-scale email platforms for Managed services customers
  • Respond to and resolve tickets created by Customer representatives, within contracted SLAs, communicating updates through the life of the ticket
  • Develop strong working relationship with customer helpdesk and other infrastructure support teams
  • Proactive monitoring and management of the platform to ensure optimal operation
  • Participate in Problem Management activities, identify underlying common issues and preventing issues before they occur

Requirements

  • B.E/B.Tech/MCA or equivalent with at least 1+ years of experience in related industry
  • Good Linux skills, RHCE or similar skill level
  • Preferred knowledge of SMTP, POP, IMAP, TCP/IP, DNS technologies
  • Experience in shell and perl scripting is preferred
  • Good understanding of Messaging Systems Communication and Internet Protocols
  • Highly analytical with the ability to derive facts quickly, methodically, and accurately, articulate these in a way that customers can understand
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
