About the role
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with potential clients, with a focus on French-speaking customers by identifying and tailoring solutions to their individual needs, making sure they receive a timely response and suggesting best practices to them
- Conduct demo sessions for OpenProject prospects (in person and remote) and clients based on customer needs
- Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs
- Lead and accomplish Proof of Concepts to successfully introduce OpenProject at large organisations, managing stakeholder interactions, providing training and consulting support, conducting use case analysis, identifying product gaps and handing them over to the product teams to further shape the product together based on users’ needs
- Lead clients on their migration journey from Jira to OpenProject, translating their use cases to OpenProject and guiding them on their journey of change
- Represent our team at conferences, connecting with clients and partners and presenting OpenProject, delivering talks, taking part in podcasts or other French interviews
- Collaborate with our partners to deliver the best solutions for new customers
- Work hands-on where needed, while also thinking systemically about how your work fits into the bigger picture
- Communicate clearly and proactively in a remote-first environment, adapting your message to different audiences and contexts
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, Customer Support, Product, Engineering and Marketing to ensure shared understanding and coordinated execution
- Bring in your own approaches, insights, and lessons learned from previous roles and experiences.
Requirements
- Strong written communication skills and fluency in French (native level) and English (our business language)
- Proven experience in sales or customer success, with a track record of delivering meaningful outcomes
- Effective communication and active listening skills to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation, including executive and C-level
- A strong technical and product understanding, caring deeply about why and for whom the work is done
- The ability to collaborate confidently with specialists and stakeholders across disciplines
- A genuine care about providing exceptional service to clients and users
- Curiosity, openness to experimentation, and a willingness to engage in thoughtful - sometimes passionate - discussions with peers
- Passion for Open Source
- Experience working in a remote-first environment, with a high degree of autonomy and flexibility
- Familiarity with OpenProject or Jira (as a plus, not required).
