About the role

  • Own top-of-funnel strategy and execution for high-impact roles supporting large-scale model training, real-time AI systems, and the infrastructure that powers them
  • Partner with recruiters and engineering leaders to understand technical requirements and translate them into effective sourcing strategies
  • Design and execute targeted sourcing plans for niche and highly competitive technical talent markets
  • Build and maintain deep talent maps, target lists, and market intelligence for priority hiring areas
  • Engage and nurture passive candidates through thoughtful, high-quality outreach and long-term relationship building
  • Track and analyze sourcing performance, pipeline health, and conversion rates to continuously improve effectiveness
  • Support recruiters by providing insights, pipeline coverage, and candidate engagement throughout the hiring process
  • Contribute to brand-forward sourcing efforts that position OpenAI as the destination for world-class infrastructure and systems talent

Requirements

  • 6+ years of technical sourcing experience in high-growth, premier technology environments
  • Proven success sourcing for highly specialized and competitive technical roles
  • Strong research, mapping, and market intelligence skills
  • Excellent written communication and candidate engagement abilities
  • The ability to partner effectively with recruiters and senior engineering stakeholders
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment
