Lead the development and implementation of data governance frameworks and strategies to ensure the organization’s data is accurate, secure, and compliant
Establish and maintain data quality standards and best practices to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and completeness across the organization
Collaborate with legal, IT, and compliance teams to ensure data governance initiatives align with regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA
Oversee data stewardship activities and work with data owners to ensure that data is managed appropriately throughout its lifecycle
Lead the integration of data governance practices into data systems and platforms, ensuring proper metadata management and data lineage tracking
Develop reports and dashboards to monitor data governance performance and provide documentation and training materials for stakeholders
Work closely with IT, business, and data teams to implement technical solutions that improve data governance practices and enhance the usability of data assets
Oversee the selection and implementation of data governance tools, technologies, and systems that support the organization’s data strategy and governance objectives
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, or a related field
7 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field
Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, metadata management, and compliance frameworks
Experience with Data Modeling and data governance tools and platforms (e.g., Erwin, Collibra, Alation, Informatica etc..)
Knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.)
Strong technical skills in data integration, data architecture, and data security
Must have at least a Public Trust Clearance
Proficient in English spoken and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels
Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
